Canadian Goldenrod with the scientific name solidago candensis is named for its ability to make solid or whole. This botanical was used in traditional and western herbalism to apply topically to burns and wounds. Slightly astringent, this made into a salve can be used to tighten and nourish skin. The plant contains quercitin, a known anti-inflammatory molecule, and applied topically to blemishes, can reduce redness and promote even skin tone. Goldenrod found in our products is sustainably wildcrafted along the Ohio River deep in the hollows of West Virginia. Extraction of Goldenrod was done using avocado oil due to its unique profile of omega fatty acids. The combination of this regenerative herb and moisturizing oil will provide an overall beautification and nourishment of the skin.
Using a salve, for individual blemishes only a small amount is required. Rub onto the desired area and then across the skin until hands come off dry. For larger areas such as the scalp and chest, one can use the product liberally. Allow to absorb into the skin before donning clothes as the contents may transfer to clothing. The salve will change consistency with temperature. Best used within 6 months, but keeping the product refrigerated will extend shelf life.
